I think it is a combination of traces of all smells that we find in India. From Nagchampa incense to Dettol desinfectant, hair oil, flowers, spices, cleaning agents, charcoal fires, cooked and fried food, threewheeler exhaust. But unlike in the bazaars, in the buildings like airports it is only traces. Anyhow, for us it is also the sweet smell of home. My first entry into India was overland from Pakistan, Attari Road.
